Elvira Vroomen is an arts teacher, SoeperChef and designer. Throughout Friday, she will create a participatory table experience around food, senses, memories and exchange. Visitors are invited to meet someone, taste, draw, smell, talk and respond to small prompts and questions. Throughout the experience people leave small things behind — a memory, a drawing, a word, a taste or an association — and gradually create a shared collection together. The project explores how food, plants and sensory experiences can become a way to connect and discover unexpected things about ourselves and others.

„Connection — I like the idea that trees support each other underground. Their roots help each other grow. There’s something quiet and beautiful in that. Sometimes people forget they can do the same.“
Welche Pflanze inspiriert dich besonders?
„The dahlia — it has so many little flowers inside one flower. My mum used to draw them all the time and only later I realised they were dahlias. I really love the structure of the plant. I now have them on my terrace.“
